Diana Moore’s Discorama 2021
In tribute to one of the great Joan Mancer Discorama 2021 was a true spectacle to witness and an extraordinary competition to be part of, from world class judges to the extraordinarily talented dancers that took part this event was an absolute success.
The Venue – Woodlands International College
The new event venue is by far one of the best venue’s in the East of Johannesburg with a pristine well ventilated Hall that not only coincides with all Covid 19 regulations but preserved the essence of live competition.
Hip Hop Section – The Competition
This years Hip Hop section started with a Bang, opened by our Elite Formation Team that later won the section with a clean and powerful performance. The competition within the Hip Hop section has over the years become a lot strong with competitors gradually upping there game, we saw a lot of competitors following some good form and implementing core Hip Hop Dance basics.
All in all the Hip Hop is steadily making its mark on the competition front this year and we hope to keep growing from strength to strength as a culture, what is need is more togetherness at the competition in order for dancers to thrive there needs to be an open line of communication instilled in the form of either a cypher section or even better and i’d say more preferable a pre-comp workshop by judges and industry experts to help developing dancers grow and make the competition even more competitive.
